PURPOSE: A combination kit containing pinitol and a drug for preventing or treating diabetes is provided to reduce side effects and to quickly treat diabetes. CONSTITUTION: A combination kit of a component for preventing or treating diabetes contains pinitol as a first ingredient and a drug of biguanide meglitinide or sulfonylurea as a second ingredient. The biguanide is metformin. The meglitinide is repaplinide or nateglinide. The sulfonylurea is carbutamide acetohexamide chlorpropamide tolbutamide tolazamide gliclazide glibenclamide gliquidone glyclopyramide or glimepiride.
